As writers/content creators the dream would be to write an article easily on a daily basis. Consistently generating interesting content that people love to consume seems like only a dream? Not really. The well of creativity never runs dry, but may just require a little more effort or out of the box thinking at times. So here are a few ways you could try in order to write an article every day:
Use prompts
Searching online you can get a lot of prompts easily to give your writing a kickstart. From fiction pieces to poetry to even non-fiction ideas, prompts can help solve the problem of initiating writing.
Use trending topics
There’s something always trending on the internet each day. If it is a topic of relevance to your niche or something that interests you in general, you can do a little research and whip up an article.
Repurpose content you watched
We’re often browsing through YouTube or OTT and watching something new. How about using that as an opportunity to write something? You could write a listicle on 5 things you loved about a show, or a full review on that movie you watched over the weekend.
Have a content calendar
Creating a content calendar before each month begins helps to have a structure in your writing patterns. You’ll be mentally prepared to write on a topic because it is narrowed down. You can of course tweak things along the way. But for those blank days a calendar comes in handy.
Freestyle writing
Sometimes emptying your thoughts without thinking much works wonders. Don’t obsess over it too much and just hit publish. People love reading journal entry style writing too, you know!
Go back to your ideas journal
If you’re like us, you must be having a notebook to fill in your ideas as they come. So pick one from that when you go blank.
Keep learning so you can write
The best ways to generate content regularly is to keep learning. If you keep consuming useful information, follow publications that teach you something new, and retain what you learn, you will never reach the bottom of the ideas well.
And if you do, you can always come back to this post 🙂
