SOHAM Heritage Art Centre in Mussoorie
The Soham Heritage and Art Centre showcases the culture and tradition of the Himalayas through paintings on canvasses, sculptures, frescoes, murals and scrap art. This art centre has been developed with the aim of displaying the diversity and wisdom of the Himalayas in a single place through various art forms.
This new tourist attraction is located in the midst of Oak and Deodar forest in Mussoorie. This art centre includes an exhibition of jewellery, traditional tools, household goods and wildlife of the Himalayan regions. The place is well decorated to give a regional look.
Mysore Sand Sculpture Museum
With other interesting things to do and visit in Mysore, this Sand sculpture museum is one of its kind. Sand sculpture Museum displays around 150 sculptures of sand in 16 different themes, which have been placed over an area of 13500 sq. feet. These sand sculptures have been created using more than 115 truckloads of sand. Various interesting themes have been used at the museum ranging from Mysore heritage, wildlife, culture, instances from different religious epics and fairy tales and stories.
This Sand sculpture Museum is the brainchild of MN Gowri, one of the leading sand sculptors of India. A bachelor in fine arts, Gowri, took four months of hard work and unwavering dedication to create this unique museum. This eco-friendly attraction in the Mysore city is established over a spread of lush green areas.
Indian Music Experience Museum
Isn’t music the joining chord in our lives that creates space for art in otherwise mundane life? Indian Music Experience Museum is India’s first interactive music museum located in Bengaluru. It is a non-profit initiative of the Indian Music Experience Trust, supported by the Brigade Group. The sole aim is to introduce the youth to the diversity of Indian music and to preserve India’s rich musical heritage. It comprises a hi-tech Exhibit Area, a Sound Garden, a Learning Centre for music education, and several performance spaces.
