Black Panther: Wakanda Forever received an unbelievably positive response!
Since MCU’s first film Iron Man, the studio has made a place among the audience and garnered millions of fans worldwide over the last 14 years. It has given many brilliant films, though some have disappointed fans. The studio also modernized itself and adjusted to the preferences of the viewers by giving a few series.
Except for Loki, no other series could hook the audience, rather they all were upset with the plot, character building, and screenplay. Even what if… could not pique the interest of fans. Marvel enthusiasts started to experiment with other works including DCEU.
After a series of disappointments, MCU gave its fans an amazing film – Black Panther 2.
Black Panther 2, a memoir
The sequel to the 2018 Panther God movie broke box office records and also won plaudits from fans and reviewers.
Black Panther 2 concentrates on the aftermath of the present Black Panther – T’Challa’s unexpected death and the fate of Wakanda as well as the tribe.
Fans have repeatedly claimed it to be a memorial to Chadwick Boseman, the original Black Panther and undoubtedly the film was a beautiful tribute to Chadwick.
Black Panther 2 comparisons
This movie comes 365 days after the release of another MCU movie – the Eternals. The Celestials story bombed at the box office as it could not intrigue Marvel enthusiasts. The movie struggled among fans because it could not successfully portray a galactic romance story spanning from the beginning of the universe till the present.
The 2021 movie – Eternals is deemed as MCU’s worst movie. Although it was marketed as a sympathetic origin story of the universe, the mix of issues between supernatural beings and mortals was very awkward for fans to accept and this was the case even when MCU’s fan base is expanding.
Some of the most anticipated movies and series released in 2022 also suffered from the same syndrome as Eternals. Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4, She-Hulk, Shang-Chi, and others could not woo the fans as producers expected, only because of lackluster plots and unrelatable character stories.
Fans’ Love for Black Panther 2
Every fan answered yes when asked – Did you like the movie? Moviegoers liked everything about the 2018 sequel from the plot to the characters. The personal concerns and problems of the characters earned praise and favourable reviews. Who doesn’t like conflicts in a story?
In this movie, the director brilliantly developed the protagonist and antagonist. Movie buffs were missing the MCU’s strength of connecting screenplay and battles spewing with sorrow, deprivation, and fury.
The makers beautifully used the personal problems of the characters with external conflict to build a gripping story for the audience.
Since Spiderman – No way Home, these superhero films had somewhere lost their steam. MCU attempted to do something different with their series but could not entertain the audience. Therefore, Marvel has ditched plot building with irrelevant events and storylines and gone back to the basics.
They attempted to revive their focus on character legacy which proved to be successful.
Marvel has lined up the release of multiple movies and series in the coming years. We need to wait and watch if they repeat the feat of Black Panther 2 or if they bring back memories of Eternals’ blunder.
