How to blog consistently even when you have no time to blog

“What I struggle the most with blogging is consistency”. This is what we heard from most of our community bloggers during our recent Mumbai and Pune meetups. But if you notice, most successful bloggers do one thing right. And that is consistency.
So, if you are wondering how to overcome the burnout that is haunting you, we have got you covered with some great ideas that have worked for us.
Why should you blog consistently?
- It makes you want to learn and grow. Compare your very first blog post and the one that you wrote recently. You would see a significant difference. This is because you have learnt so much in the process and you are slowly building credibility within your niche.
- It will boost your SEO and blog traffic. When you publish high-quality posts on your blog, it will attract more visitors to your blog. Google will rank your post better when you make efforts to use relevant keywords and optimize your content for search engines.
- It will increase your Domain Authority. Once you have established expertise in your field and attract consistent traffic, it will increase your Domain authority too.
- It will help with your brand awareness. When you blog consistently, there is a higher chance of recognition of your brand. Your audience will remember your brand better resulting in recall and visibility.
- It will help you build a loyal community. When you write long-term and informative content as well as engage with your audience through replying to their queries, comments, and mentions on social media, it fosters a sense of community.
How to blog consistently
There are indeed, many ways you can become a consistent blogger. Here are some that worked for us.
- Understand your strengths. Remind yourself why you are blogging and for whom. Keep that in mind while you create content. Let that act as your motivation.
- Have a content calendar. Having a content calendar will help in creating schedules that work best for you. It is likely that you will feel less overwhelmed. For example, there is so much that goes into writing a blog post. You’ve to write the words, make creatives that go into your blog and different social media handles, and make videos of different formats for YouTube or Reels.
So, it is better if you can break down these tasks and make an editorial calendar that will decide which day you will film a video, edit, publish on social media, publish a blog post, market your post etc. on a posting schedule for both the blogs and social media. - Focus on quality more than quantity. Rather than churning out below-par content every day, make a routine and stick to it.
- Repurpose and Batch Create. Batch create means you write multiple posts at a stretch, or film or edit multiple videos. These can then be grouped together and scheduled to publish. When you make content, keep repurposing in mind. Can you repurpose a blog post into a reel or infographic? Can you reach different audiences this way?
- Participate in Blogchatter Blog Hop. At Blogchatter, we have a weekly blog hop where we give two prompts. You can pick anyone and write on it. Find the deets here.
We hope that you will follow these steps and will be able to maintain a consistent blogging schedule.
