If you are planning on your own business soon, be it small or big, it is mandatory for your brand to have an “Instagram presence”. A few years ago, it was necessary for a brand to have an online presence to connect with its consumers. But those times are long gone and it’s more about Instagram strategy, following, the voice of the brand so on and so forth. It is basically a business hub where the brands can leverage the features available to attract a loyal following and grow their brand to the next level.
During the covid, there were many brands that were started and grown to a really huge extent through Instagram. Here anyone and everyone can be an entrepreneur, or content creator if you have what it takes.
Instagram’s robust business features can only be used if you have a business account or a creator account. This way you could explore new settings and take advantage of these connections to make the best out of it.
Here are some strategies that you could utilize to build a Business Profile.
#1 Go with the Basics: Set up your profile
Open a new profile and focus on the value are going to provide to the people, not the product that you want to sell. As Instagram is a highly visual medium, to attract the right target audience you have to put out high-quality and valuable content that will engage the audience with your business. Get creative with your content, there are no hard and fast rules to achieve a certain following, but what’s important is that you stay true to your brand’s value that way you can make the consumers do the same. Instagram is not only an advertising medium but also a community of people who are loyal to the brand. It’s critical to post relevant posts that spike the audience’s interest.
#2 Try to maintain a consistent theme
Each Instagram profile is more or less like a blog page or a page on your website. You always follow some themes or a color scheme on eCommerce websites and bloggers’ websites, right? Try to do the same here. Come up with a theme, be it a photo editing style, a filter, or the pictures themselves, and be consistent while following it. Even if you are going inconsistent, do it consistently that way you can change it into your theme. As it is a visual platform, seeing a uniform tone of voice and some kind of aesthetic feed will definitely grab the attention of many people. And of course, the theme should align with the brand’s aesthetics. There is always a separate fan base for the brand’s aesthetics on Instagram pages.
#3 Make the most of #Hashtags
They always work. They can scout a number of followers to your profile and expand your reach. But it has to be relevant. If you make the best use of these, then it will appear in people’s searches and will be easier for them to identify your brand. Try to use up to five hashtags per post. And remember to add some trending challenges or popular but relevant hashtags to drive more audience in. It might look not as much but will definitely attract quite a few audiences.
#4 Go on Lives and collaborate with other creators
Being able to collaborate with a content creator who is pretty popular could be a good way to gain more attention to your brand and its credibility. Tagging happy customers or other people who share the same values as your brand and sharing their stories related to the brand is always a good selling point. Going live and interacting with the customers more frequently will help you understand them better as communication is the key here. You can conduct Q&A sessions, and interviews, show some BTS, or give them shoutouts, host giveaways etc to keep them invested.
#5 Use highlights to highlight your brand’s story
Having a personal touch to your brand will always grab people’s attention more as they get to know you as well as your brand will. Showing glimpses of the inside stories, new product launches, reviews, testimonials, and FAQs is like getting your basics done. This way most important pieces of information that the consumer need are available on your social media itself. This is where your brand’s voice could stand out!
This is not all. There are endless possibilities for what you can do for your brand through Instagram. It’s more or less like a trial-and-error method. But it’s where one can get creative and you can always expect the unexpected!
