In the recent past, Ecommerce has changed the way we shop. It has brought convenience, comfort and reliability to consumers. Additionally, Ecommerce platforms support small sellers, the MSMEs and entrepreneurs and have been a harbinger of change at a time when economies are injecting incentives for better growth.
The Convenience of Online Shopping
There is no doubt that online shopping is considered convenient and more and more people are taking to it. Ecommerce platforms like Amazon have been able to grow through professional practices such as offering a seamless shopping experience through choice, transparency, safe payment gateways and easy returns and refunds policies. Consumers are also aware that their transaction details are safe.
Blogchatter had a Twitter session on how online shopping has managed to win over Indians and whether a change such as a ban like storage of debit/credit card details will impact the consumer experience. A large number of people discussed this and the hashtag trended at #2 spot!
Ecommerce Impacting MSMEs and Investor Sentiment
Online shopping platforms not only spell convenience to consumers but also assist small businesses who partner with them. MSMEs and entrepreneurs starting a new business, or moving to online selling or looking to grow without high investments in warehousing or distribution channels, find Ecommerce platforms a viable selling partner. Especially in the post-pandemic times, there are many challenges that MSMEs have to face but which can be successfully managed through a seller-Ecommerce platform partnership. We spoke at large on this theme in a Facebook Live session with community leaders who have expertise in mentoring MSMEs. It had a very high live viewership as the topic resonated with people. The comments received and the engagement among the participants was very encouraging and insightful.
Expanding the Scope of Conversations on Ecommerce Benefits
Bloggers added to the conversation by covering the ways in which Ecommerce platforms can continue to serve consumers and sellers and how policies can shape this space.
Other community bloggers came forward with their own experiences of how Ecommerce has changed the shopping space and habits for most people. They also spoke about other facets of a thriving Ecommerce ecosystem such as bringing about women empowerment because of a level playing field. A business such as travel, can also benefit by partnering with an Ecommerce platform. The insights of the community bloggers are available under a featured category on the Blogchatter website.
Ecommerce continues to contribute to the economy by supporting the various stakeholders. Through our conversations on various social platforms and long-form content, we have been able to seed relevant information for people.
