That’s right, Indian brands are making waves around the world and leaving their mark on the global stage. And trust us, they’re doing it in style!
In this article let’s take a deep dive and find out how exactly India has managed to achieve this status.
The Tech Giants
There is absolutely no need to mention the impact of the IT space in India. We have a massive growth over the years thanks to Indian software companies like Infosys and TCS have been dominating the IT space for years. And with the rise of remote work, they’re now catering to clients all over the world. So the next time you’re on a Zoom call with a tech company, there’s a good chance you’re talking to an Indian developer. Who needs Silicon Valley when you have Bangalore?
And let’s not forget about our homegrown e-commerce giant, Flipkart. With its user-friendly interface and unbeatable prices, Flipkart has become the go-to destination for online shopping in India. And now, they’re taking their expertise to the rest of the world. Flipkart recently announced that it will be launching an online marketplace in the United States to cater to the needs of the Indian diaspora living abroad. We can already hear the sound of Amazon’s alarm bells ringing.
Fashion and Beauty Industry
But it’s not just tech start-ups that are making a splash on the global stage. Indian fashion brands are also carving out a niche for themselves in the international market. Take, for example, Fabindia, the brand that has made Indian handicrafts and textiles cool again. From clothing to home decor, Fabindia has something for everyone who loves a little bit of desi flair in their lives. And we have to admit, nothing beats a good pair of jhumkas and a bright-coloured dupatta to brighten up your day.
From Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, to Gaurav Gupta Indian designers are making their mark on the global fashion industry. And who can blame them? With their intricate designs and vibrant colours, Indian fashion is the perfect mix of traditional and modern. We can already hear Anna Wintour planning her next trip to India.
We have to mention about the impact of Indian brands on the beauty industry. From Ayurvedic skincare brands like Forest Essentials to the cult favourite Henna hair dye, Indian beauty brands like Lakme, Himalaya Herbals are taking the world by storm. And we have to say, we’re loving it. Who needs a fancy French face cream when you can have a natural Ayurvedic one?
An All-rounder
How can we talk about India without including chai? There you have it, the undisputed king of Indian beverages, chai. But this humble tea is not just popular in India; it’s taken the world by storm. You can now find chai lattes at every coffee shop from New York to London, and it’s all thanks to Indian tea brands like Taj Mahal and Brooke Bond. Who needs a fancy latte when you can have a hot cup of chai and a plate of samosas?
Next on the list is the one and only, Mahindra & Mahindra. This automobile giant has been putting India on the map with its affordable and reliable vehicles. And now, they’re taking their expertise to the international market. Mahindra recently launched its electric vehicles in the United States, and we have to say, we’re pretty impressed. Who knew an Indian brand could give Tesla a run for its money? We can already hear Elon Musk sweating.
Indian brands are thriving and making a serious impact on the international market, and they’re doing it with a lot of style and a little bit of spice. Whether it’s chai or Mahindra cars, Infosys software or Sabyasachi designs, gulab jamun or Forest Essentials skincare, and Pharmaceutical companies, Indian home-grown brands are leaving their mark wherever they go. Looks like the world is finally waking up to the magic of India, and we’re here for it.
