Over the years, the entertainment industry has been impacted by some exceptional songwriters and artists. Blues, funk, punk, gospels, and Alternative rock are just a few of the genres revolutionized by prolifically great black artists who have changed the course of music. However, Black artists are sometimes kept in limitations and are not permitted to innovate. Pop, indie, and rock are created by black artists, but these genres are viewed as the preserve of white artists. Black artists are restricted by set boundaries. Music has constantly been inextricably linked to African culture. While other cultures maintain it separate or suppressed, Black society is more integrated. When slaves were imported from Africa, they brought their rhythms and sounds with them, and music became a source of courage to cope with the difficult life of enslavement through Negro spirituals. Even in modern times, Black artists rule the world with their amazing vocals and performance spirit.
