Catching an episode of your favourite sitcom is a perfect way to unwind after a stressful day lighten your mood with a few laughs. The sitcom is quite an old genre and we’ve grown to love these fun shows that make us smile.
Friends
Following the life of six fun loving adults, Friends has been close to our hearts because of how much we relate to it. We lived through their sorrows, memorable moments and learnt what it’s like to grow into adults with the companionship of good friends around. Recently the Friends Reunion was the much needed closure we got for the show we so love and miss!
Full House
Following the story of a family who has lost their mother, Full House is a heartwarming story of a dad raising his daughters with the help of his best friend and brother in law. A good half an hour to enjoy while we had our dinner even on a school night, Full House was surely a favourite.
Modern Family
One of the last shows to use the mockumentary style in an innovative way, Modern Family is as funny as it is socially significant. As the title suggests, the show centers on characters that don’t fit into the conventional mold of a family. Don’t we all love that?
Seinfeld
One of a kind humor show Seinfeld follows the life of Jerry Seinfeld as he faces life’s most perplexing questions. He has the company of his eccentric friends which makes it even more fun to watch.
The Simpsons
You don’t become the longest-running scripted show in the history of television without amazing laughs, incisive cultural commentary, and truly lovable characters who stand the test of time. This is another show that has been a family special with its laughs, ups and downs of life in a dysfunctional family!
Family Guy
Animated sitcom Family Guy follows Peter Griffin, his family of two teens, his wife, a smart dog and a tad evil baby as they are thrown from one crazy situation to another.
Will & Grace
One of the classics, Will & Grace is also notably groundbreaking. It premiered in 1998, and was one of the first mainstream shows to have a gay character star. The show has not lost its charm over all these years and we’re sure will remain a timeless delight.
Life is all about finding your own way to navigate through it with smiles and laughter and these sitcoms couldn’t highlight that enough!
Happy watching.
