Especially when it comes to K-drama, how can one be stone cold and not melt hearing characters say “It’s not even a dream. If it were it wouldn’t have been so painful” or something as simple as “If you come closer, I am never letting you go again”. Such sweet words are enough to convey love, right? What more can we ask?

Yet, for those who are veterans, who have binge-watched kdrama for ages, it’s very easy to spot a repetitive storyline or common tropes that are more than easy to identify. There is something about loving someone who is much older than us. This trope is where the younger boy falls in love with the older woman. These kinds of dramas are mostly slow burns; thus, it has a separate fan base. Sometimes it takes time for people to warm up to this concept, but once in, then everything just fades away.
