In today’s rushed lifestyle, maintaining a fit and healthy body is important but difficult. There are many diet plans available on the internet but the big question is how to choose the one that will benefit you the most? Nutritionists help you in solving this because one dress doesn’t fit all, similarly one diet plan is not recommended for all. Each and every body type is different and so are the needs of it.
Another concern is that diets give instant results and gradually you gain your former weight after a certain time, usually, a year later. There are fewer chances that you maintain the same weight even when you discontinue your diet plan. Fad diets are useful in this context because they have given results to some extent but again, there are no studies to prove it yet.
Why diet plans don’t work?
Diets as the name suggests is leaving a portion of things and consuming only a particular set of meals. This doesn’t work for long as your body is eating a kind of meal since childhood. Your body is accustomed to those vegetables, spices and kinds of preparation. Nutritionists say that your family food never gives you extra weight because your body is digesting it for so many years and is used to its benefits.
On the other hand, skipping meals or starving is not dieting. People think that if they skip one meal, they are losing fats. This is wrong. Instead, you are starving yourself and in the next meal, you want to consume as per 2 meals. This is leading to more weight gain as the proportions are all messed up.
The magic lies in healthy eating
If you have an eye for maintaining the correct weight in the long run then healthy eating and in the correct proportions is the key. Today doctors and nutritionists recommend eating all but in controlled proportions. This saves you from craving your favourite food and keeps you satiated. Mixing new ingredients into healthy recipes gives you new tastes and benefits to your body.
Whatever you consume, it is necessary to incorporate it with exercise. Any form of exercise is helpful in digesting your food and keep you energetic. There are infinite advantages of exercise along with a healthy and nutritional diet.
Research and get a nutritionist for yourself
Today, the internet has all sorts of information but is important to consult a nutritionist and discuss your weight concerns. As discussed above, just because a meal plan helped your friend or is trending on social media, you should not start adapting it. These food combinations could harm your body if not helping you bring it into the desired shape.
Your nutritionist is the correct person to guide you through the importance of each ingredient that comprises your meal and keep you healthy and fit. Time to fix an appointment with your nutritionist!
