Today’s rushed lifestyle doesn’t give you a break of even a minute to pause and relax. You are constantly on a run because your to-do list is still pending. Ultimately, you finish it all but by the end, you feel burnt out. So what are the signs that show you are all burnt out?
- You quarrel with every other person you come in contact with
The tiredness in your mind and body makes you anxious and you want to give a fight to every other person and for every other reason. The simplest reason being that you want to relax and shut the doors to the outside world. In simpler words, you want some me-time and be away from your duties.
- You lose interest in your favourite hobbies
Hobbies keep you interested in life and you feel happy but your fatigue forces you to drop your hobbies. When your body is not active, you feel weak and disinterested in whatever work/hobby you pick. Give some time to yourself and your interest will bounce back.
- You want to be alone
Keeping your mind cool gives you the solution to fight back stress. But if you are not at peace then you are even more stressed out. The other person may think that he’s giving you company but actually, he’s just adding to the irritation you are already feeling. Just relax and try to meditate or walk in the garden helps.
- You don’t want to exercise
Exercise keeps you fit and you feel good about yourself. But sometimes, over-exercising also burns you out. Your body aches and you feel weak instead of energetic. You lose interest in exercising further or maintaining a healthy diet. In fact, as revenge on your own body, you over-indulge in sweets. The idea is to understand that it’s your own body on which you are torturing yourself. Be calm and leave everything for a while. Then only you feel better and motivated.
- You feel depressed
One of the most taken for granted signs that show you are burnt out is feeling depressed. However, all of the above-mentioned points add to depression only but the serious cause is that you are actually a victim. Your mental health matters the most as that is the driving force in your body. If you are mentally ill, how are you going to perform in other fields? Accept the fact and start working towards correcting it.
Unsurprisingly, you matter to the people who love you. Once you approach them, they are ready to lend you help.
Take one step at a time
You can avoid the situation when you feel burnt out. Create a small to-do list that’s manageable and real. Drop the tag of multi-tasker, you are not one and nobody is. Take responsibility to the extent that keeps you cool on the other hand. Be firm to draw a line once you reach a certain limit.
The world will always be ignorant irrespective of you being a superhuman or loser so just think of yourself as an individual and lead a happy and stress-free life.
