Recent years have witnessed a worldwide trend of prioritizing your wellness, especially holistic wellness, which encompasses your physical, mental, and social well-being along with the well-being of your community and the planet. according to research, this trend is expected to continue to grow in 2023 as well.
In the aftermath of Covid, our physical (and mental) health has been greatly impacted, making wellness regimes super important. The world has shifted 360 degree and everyone
A number of evolving and emerging trends are anticipated over the next year as wellness continues to boom in a post-Covid world and people prioritize their wellness as a preventative measure.
So, what is your prediction as far as wellness trends are concerned? A big bet on Digital detox, coffee boycott, and mental health taking the top seat, maybe? Well, Let’s find out, shall we?
Digital Detox
Of course, it is the first on our list. Our increasing reliance on smartphones, tablets and laptops is causing many people to rethink their relationship with their electronic devices – and in 2023, this will result in digital withdrawal.
We’re all becoming more aware of our screen time and the harms associated with spending endless hours a day on our phones. But even then, people are finding it difficult to reduce screen time. In fact, it hasn’t decreased one bit since the pandemic ended.
With the introduction of short-form video content, we have become even more glued to the screens. It is a conscious choice that one has to take, prioritizing health now more than ever.
Sleep synching
How long has it been since you got a good night’s sleep? Or even a desired amount of shut-eye? One can’t even dare imagine having a peaceful sleep for 8 long hours, in this digital world. Lack of sleep could result in stress and anxiety. One of the easiest ways is to regulate your diet and exercise and night time routine.
Sleep syncing can be achieved by establishing a regular sleep schedule, waking up, and going to bed at the same time each day. As a result, your body becomes accustomed to waking up and going to sleep at certain times on a regular basis.
Micro Workouts
A best of all wellness trend this year. One which would fit into anyone’s schedule no matter the time.
Fitness challenges and one-minute dances on TikTok are good examples of micro workouts on the rise. The increasing popularity of this wellness trend can be attributed to the fact that it removes the time barrier to exercise. This low-intensity, bite-size format makes it easier to incorporate movement into your everyday life.
It could be a morning dance with your colleague, a few quick push-ups and squats before lunch, and an evening short walk to help you wind down and relieve stress. These short fitness exercises yield great results and are an enjoyable and fun way to exercise
Spiritual Wellbeing
Studies now show that the best new treatments focus on providing patients with social support networks and often a spiritual connection to something greater than themselves. Religious and spiritual life contribute to community empowerment and are important health resources for many people around the world. Thus, Experts recommend that people 60 and older engage in spiritual activity for their overall well-being.
But that doesn’t mean it is restricted to that age group. In the past, spiritual well-being was attributed primarily to one’s religion, whereas now it can also be achieved through one’s own practice. Some techniques include meditation, breath work, a practice of gratitude, or martial arts.
The aim is to experience feelings of peace, contentment, and inner harmony, as it can play an important role in overall health and wellness.
Having explored these many options, are you planning to jumpstart your healthy routine with one of these trends? If, so try to be consistent. Take one step at a time.
Have good health and a happy life!
