Realistic Settings

Creating a memorable setting while writing a romance novel adds much to the story you are telling and captures the reader’s imagination.
Strong Characters
Strong well-defined characters with clear backstories is what makes your people stand out. Don’t shy away from creating a complex character who has issues, complexes and insecurities. Often it is the internal motivations that lead the story on, in addition to external circumstances.
Keep the Characters Dynamic

Your characters need to undergo a change in the course of the story, maybe not very dramatic but a change nevertheless. The change should be logical though, for the reader to relate to the development.
