Confessions of an online shopper- What kind are you?

Shopping has always been something most of us enjoy. The shiny malls that leave us starry eyed, the narrow streets decked with colourful trinkets, the hanging out with friends and the satisfaction of a good bargain! Online shopping however is a different game altogether and the pandemic has made us so much more inclined towards it. Buying stuff you like at great deals from the comfort of our homes? Who would say no to that?

You could be baking muffins or in the middle of a client meeting (we’re not advising you do that!) while you click on ‘buy’ and watch your order get confirmed. Anyhow, with this immense love for online shopping, we thought of a fun little quiz that you can take in hardly a couple of minutes, probably while you shop even. So, let’s go! Don’t peek at the answers, okay?

1. How often do you shop in a month?

1. In a month? I haven’t opened my shopping app in like 3 months. I’ll do it when I do it.
2. Uhm, I don’t know. I still have to cross off a few items from those 3 apps and the new site I found yesterday.
3. Not much. Only when there’s a sale, festive offers, and daily bargains.

2. Your bank balance looks sad but…  but you really really need that Mojo Jojo jacket. What do you do?

1. I shall wait till the feeling passes or maybe next month. (translates to year)
2. Let me check on other sites too. Maybe I’ll get it cheaper. Maybe I can ask Mojo Jojo if I can borrow his instead?
3. Opens secret stash of gold from under bed kept for shopping emergencies.

3. Who is a regular visitor when you’re working from home?

1. There’s a kabutar that comes daily. It has also signed an NDA because it is present for most of my work meetings. Does that count?
2. I wish it would be my online shopping delivery… but I can’t seem to figure out between salmon and salmon with a tinge of red to place my order.
3. It is Pankaj, my online shopping delivery executive. Yesterday he helped me sort what I bought and then we solved wordle.

4. How much time do you spend on an online shopping site once you’re in?

1. I select the first thing that I see and click on buy. Or I let my cat pick. Whatevs.
2. It’s a rabbit hole once I am in. I even saw the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat once. I had to put up a ‘help’ sign.
3. I have learnt how to shop from 6 different sites, and checkout all during a fifteen minute meeting. So, there!

5. What is your favourite buy from online sites?

1. Long ago I purchased glue and cello-tape. Pretty decent deal. The glue was really gluey.
