Creativity is closely related to work. Whether you work at an office, or from home, whether you are an IT employee or a content creator, being creative brings motivation leading to better productivity levels.
During one of our recent chit chats with our community, we discussed the role of having a creative environment in content creation.
Nature plays a huge role in fostering creativity in our community’s content creation process, whether it’s going for walks, spending time with nature, or having a quiet and peaceful space to write in.
That said, you can’t underestimate the power of deadlines though. A few of us work well under pressure. Sometimes, deadlines are all it takes to stimulate creativity in the writing process.
The role of routine and experimentation in fostering creativity
Don’t you love to create a to-do list to tick off the chores of the day without forgetting?
Most of us vouched for the importance of following a routine to boost creativity. Having a plan to adhere to keeps one on track in completing the tasks for the day. It tries to convince the brain that at the said time and space, you ought to do what’s required. Scheduling your work or even a me-time makes your day more rewarding.
Experimentation is another factor that has a direct impact on creativity. Challenges bring out the best in you, you get to learn and try new things. As they say, there’s no innovation without experimentation.
Must-Haves in a content Creator’s Workspace
A cluttered desk is a cluttered mind was the philosophy a majority of us believed in. Some of us need only a couple of things, namely, a laptop, water bottle, notebooks and pens in our workspace.
All of us agreed that monotony needn’t necessarily mean boring. It makes lives simpler and helps in being consistent in whatever we do. When you know you have to sit at your work desk to write, you are more focused.
Occasional breaks are vital to rejuvenate one’s creativity. It has positive effects on the mind and also helps in being productive. It could be as simple as stepping out of your cubicle or work desk to get some fresh air, have a quick chat with your best friend, play with a furry friend or take a walk around your lawn.
We would like to know your idea on fostering creativity at work. Here’s the whole chat if you missed it.
