A person can grow only as much as his horizon allows.
John Powell
New year means new beginnings, new us. It’s the time we want to try new things, reflect on our old mistakes, and say goodbye to old habits and problems. Every year, we all feel so excited, full of hopes and dreams on how the new year is going to be. But it’s also important for us to look back, do an introspection and see for ourselves how much we have grown as a person.
Most of us have become better, stronger, fighting every day to do our best, be our best. If this is not metamorphosis, then what is?
Biggest learnings of 2022
We all would have felt sometimes that times flies like really really flies. One day we are stressed about our college semester exams then cut to few years we are worried about getting a job. And all this time feels like nothing. That’s when we truly understand -time is our greatest reality.
There would have been times we have cherished the most, and times where we almost gave up but still fought till the end. Thinking back to those moments, as time passed, we have learnt some biggest lessons of life. And those lessons are definitely worth the blood, sweat and tears we have spent. So, let’s be proud of ourselves, for every milestone we have achieved and for every path we have taken and our personal growth. Because if we don’t who else will?
During our last discussion with our community, they shared some interesting answers when asked them about their biggest learnings from last year.
Moving forward
Life just goes on. It’s not going to wait for us to grow up and be better. We are always fighting an internal battle with ourselves and life, where we fail to realize the difference between what we want and what we really need. It’s important for us to not rush things and understand that everything takes time, be it people or a skill or a job, anything for that matter.
So, lets figure out first what we need and then what we want to be in our life and strive to improve ourselves to be that person we dream of, having fun in every step of our journey.
Why so serious right? And yes of course, some of us might try to find a shortcut too but is there really a shortcut to life? Just a food for thought.
Here is what people from our tribe would like to work on this year.
And these are some heartfelt wishes (or shall we say shortcuts😉) to make things a lot easier.
A Moment to Remember
Everyone has fair share of ups and downs throughout our life. Then again without them life might be boring, right? Some of us, obviously the wierdos, have this crazy habit to irritate someone or pick up random fights with their friends just because they are bored. So, it is important that life keeps them rather busy. Anyway, jokes apart, sure everyone of us would have had this beautiful or crazy moment in our life last year that we want to either revisit or capture in 4K and store it in the deepest corner of our hearts, only for us to reminisce whenever we want.
Similarly, people from our community also shared with us their “AHA”, ‘OHO” moments that are close to their heart.
Growing and Becoming You
As everyone has welcomed this year with full of big dreams, hopes and aspirations. Amidst of this beautiful chaos that is life, let us try to be mindful of us and our time and loved ones. Let’s prioritize us and our mental health. And live like there is no tomorrow and take breaks whenever there is an internal call.
And remember it’s okay to be you. You are great. If there is dawn every morning, then that gives you a new day and new opportunity to do better.
Hold on check out what our tribe would like to remind themselves when it come to mental health this new year. Read the entire chat here.
A life’s journey ends with us just counting days. So, lets go wild and crazy and dream as big as the ocean (it costs us nothing).
Spread your wings! Grow like a wildflower!
