Women... and our eventful lives! Interesting story.
Over the past decade, a lot has been said and written about feminism, women empowerment, and gender equality. Thanks to this, not only has awareness risen to a new level, but we have also seen positive progress taking place in real-time thanks to this writing on social media and otherwise. Whether we believe it or not, and accept it or not, writing and all forms of entertainment at least lead to some dialogue, which can further lead to some changes in society at large. Despite all that, the ground reality is that many women still struggle to find a place at the table, even within their own families and households. This essence is well captured in the short story Aching Hearts by Prasannakumary Raghavan. The definition of ‘freedom’ and ‘empowerment’ gets defined in a new light in this fictional tale of two women suppressed by men, supposedly their family. Full review: https://wp.me/p6XQyB-48x
Manali Desai Thank you, Rustic Mind, for the warm review and the positive points you have highlighted about my story. I should say that you have made the theme of the story more concise and graspable. I also value the editing suggestions. will take care of that.
“Aching hearts” is a heartwarming story of the triumph of the human spirit. Of a woman, taking control over her life and decisions. You can read my full review here: https://www.theblogchatter.com/blogrolls/aching-hearts-a-womans-story-by-prasanna-raghavan

Enjoyed reading your book "Aching Hearts"!Womens' trials and tribulations are indeed today's trend that as the writer rightly points to the fact that we live in a male dominated environment. How the mother daughter duo try to overcome their misery is told in an engaging manner by the author!
Drgeetha S Nair Thank you, Geetha, I am excited that you read it and showed your opinion about it. :)
Read this book this morning. One good thing about Sundays is there's time for reading. This is a short book of 24 pages written in an easy style. It tells the story of a young woman who was deprived of paternal and fraternal love. Her father had no soft feelings in his heart and her brother turned out to be another version of the father. Mother sustains her. Both mother and daughter are in a way victims of an insensitive patriarchal society. Will they hold out? Well, read the book. It's an engaging story.
Indeed, please love to read more of your review on it. :)
Yes, every woman would find a connection somewhere.
Geethica Mehra Thank you, Geethika. You got it. Every woman would find an element of their life in it. :)
